Scholarship Fund Available to Partner Organizations

Excelsior has a special pool of scholarship funds available to Excelsior partner organizations’ eligible employees and members enrolled* in an 91³Ô¹Ï program.

Qualified members and employees of partner organizations must apply, complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and commit to enroll in an 91³Ô¹Ï degree program. Scholarship awards may cover the cost of up to 2 credits. The scholarship may not cover costs already covered by tuition reimbursement.

Applying for a Partner Scholarship

To be considered for a scholarship, you must follow one of the steps below:

  1. If you have already applied for admission and received your preliminary review,
    • The next step is to complete theÌýÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýcommit toÌýenrollÌýin a 91³Ô¹Ï degree program to start taking courses during the next available term. Our FAFSA Code isÌý014251.
  2. If you have not applied for admission,
    • You must apply for admission by completing the specially coded undergraduate application that is online or downloaded from your organization’sÌýExcelsior partner page. (Please specify that you are a member or employee of a partner organization in the special dropdown list on the online application form.)
    • The next step is to complete theÌý. Our FAFSA Code isÌý014251.
    • Commit to enroll*Ìýin an 91³Ô¹Ï degree program to start taking courses during the next available term.

Scholarship Fund Available to Phi Theta Kappa Members Transferring from a Partner College

We are now accepting scholarship applications for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Two annual Phi Theta Kappa scholarships will be awarded. One is a regional scholarship (recipient must reside within New York State), and the other is awarded to a national recipient. Each recipient will be awarded $1,000 which may be applied to 91³Ô¹Ï tuition and fees only. This scholarship is in addition to our preferential partnership pricing.

Recipients may reapply each year they are enrolled in a degree program at 91³Ô¹Ï. Any individual who is not awarded this scholarship will have their application rolled over to the next academic award year. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • have no outside affiliations resulting in educational support (e.g., Veterans Affairs benefits, assistance from professional organizations, etc.);
  • have graduated from one of our academic partner institutions;
  • be a Phi Theta Kappa member;
  • and be enrolled in an 91³Ô¹Ï degree program.

Applying for a Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

To be considered for a scholarship, you must complete theÌýscholarship applicationÌýand follow one of the steps below:

  1. If you have already applied for admission and received your application review,
    • The next step is to complete theÌýÌýand enrollment agreement for an 91³Ô¹Ï degree program to start taking courses during the next available term. Our FAFSA Code isÌý014251.
    • Submit the scholarship application to outreach@excelsior.edu.
  2. If you have not applied for admission:
    • You must complete the online application and under academic information choose the academic partner institution you graduated from.
    • The next step is to complete the and enrollment agreement for an 91³Ô¹Ï degree program to start taking courses during the next available term. Our FAFSA Code is 014251.
    • Submit the scholarship application to outreach@excelsior.edu.
